Featured in this lot is this sterling silver and multistone inlaid necklace from Navajo artist Melvin Thompson. The necklace features a wonderfully and professionally crafted sterling silver and turquoise construction that features beautiful graduated turquoise rondelles with a mixture of lightly polished stones in variegated pale aquas and greens with a touch of blue. The stones graduate from 2mm to 8mm in size and shows sterling silver Desert Pearl accents and is finished in sterling silver aglets and a hook clasp. The pendant is constructed from sterling silver with an inlaid mosaic of turquoise, lab opal, spiny oyster, mother of pearl, and onyx with a twisted rope decoration around the mosaic. The pendant is marked 'M.T.' and 'sterling' on the backside of the pendant. The condition of this necklace is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this necklace from clasp to clasp are 23" and the pendant measures 2 3/4" x 1 5/8". The collective weight of this necklace are 84.3g.
