Featured in this lot is this Navajo Old Crystal Germantown sampler circa 1890s. The rug features a wonderfully and professionally crafted wool construction that features a beautiful red field with a orange border and features crystal patterns of off white and grey with a central medallion of stepped design shows a dark grey coloration. Provenance: from the Mark Sublette Medicine Man Gallery and Ex Read collection, Arizona; Ms. Read inherited this weaving from her mother. The condition of this this sampler rug is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this rug is 21 1/4" x 22". The thread count is 180 threads per square inch.
