Featured in this lot is this Navajo old pawn sterling silver and turquoise necklace. The necklace shows a wonderful decoration consistent with old pawn era silver jewelry. Old Pawn jewelry is a term used within the Native American dealer community and refers to old Indian jewelry that was traded for credit or goods. Old pawn jewelry was often Navajo made. The large oval Cripple Creek turquoise cabochon shows excellent clarity and wonderful coloration. The condition of this necklace is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this necklace from clasp to clasp are 26" and the pendant measures 2 1/8" x 1 5/8". The necklace weight is 32.8g.
