This is an original Montana Territory Knives of Bozeman, Montana knife showing an excellent, original scrimshaw artwork of a Navajo Trading Post Rug Pattern. The blade has been forged from 1095HC (High Carbon) steel and 15N20 Nickel Carbon, which is then heated and folded into 396 layers, creating the astounding “Damascus” steel. The knife shows a wonderful ladder Damascus pattern. The hollow grind full tang blade has been paired with a set of nice, white, wild Buffalo bone grips scales. The grips are set with three brass pins, a mosaic pin, and a lanyard loop. The knife is also finished with stainless steel bolsters and finger holds. The tang and knife spine have been artfully hand vine filled. The knife shows a scrimshaw artwork of a geometric, Navajo Native American Indian Trading Post Rug pattern. The blade is marked with the “MONTANA TERRITORY KNIVES BOZEMAN MONTANA” stamping, which shows the outline of Montana. The knife has been paired with a Great American Bison Buffalo leather, hand crafted sheath. Overall, the knife measures 10" long, with the blade being 5 1/4" long. The knife and sheath together measure 10 3/4" long.
