Featured in this lot is this Navajo pig pictorial mohair hand woven rug circa 1980's. The rug features a wonderfully and professionally crafted mohair construction that features a pictorial of a pig with black and white coloration and set to a salmon pink field and features two geometric bands at either end of the rug with a medium red coloration. The rug features tassels at the corners of the rug. The thread count is 108 per square inch. The condition of this Navajo rug is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this rug is 24" x 23". Provenance: From the renowned Sundog Fine Art Bozeman, Montana collection and collected by Bruce VanLandingham. Bruce VanLandingham was a pillar in the American Indian collecting community and a respected expert. Along with being an avid collector, Bruce also was the sole owner of Sundog Fine Art Gallery in Bozeman, which was both part museum and gallery.
