Featured in this lot is this sterling silver and Cripple Creek turquoise bracelet from Navajo artist Richard Begay. The bracelet shows sterling silver construction with split shoulder design and a classic Navajo design to the bracelet face, along with a large rough cut Cripple Creek turquoise cabochon. The bracelet shows the artist’s hallmark on the underside of the bracelet and a 'sterling' stamp. Richard Begay was a Navajo Silversmith from Pinon, Arizona. He borrowed jewelry tools from his father-in-law and set to work, learning the demanding craft of silversmithing. Richard was immediately drawn to the intricate inlay work for which he is known. The condition of this bracelet is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this bracelet are 2 1/8" x 2 1/2" x 1 7/8"; the circumference of this bracelet is 4 1/2". The collective weight of this bracelet is 27.1g.
