Featured in this lot is this Navajo sterling silver Bell Trading Post squash blossom necklace circa 1930's. The squash blossom necklace features wonderfully and professionally crafted sterling silver design with silver bench beads and shows 12 total blossoms showing a floral decoration with traditional blossom design with round cut Kingman turquoise cabochons set into the center of the blossoms. The naga pendant features a traditional design with three total Kingman turquoise cabochon two are round cut and the third is larger and is oval cut. The Bell Trading Post hallmark can be seen on the backside of the naga pendant. Bell Trading Post was founded in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1932 by Jack Michelson and his wife Mildred. They sold southwest style jewelry at various tourist locations in the United States. The condition of this squash blossom is good with a single break in one of the blossoms but otherwise shows a patina consistent with the age of the necklace and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this necklace from clasp to clasp are 28" and the naga pendant measures 2" x 2". The collective weight of the squash blossom is 146.7g.
