Featured in this lot is this Navajo sterling Kachina pendant signed "EE". This pendant has an artist signature on the bottom and is marked 925 and sterling confirming the silver purity. The Kachina show's amazing craftsmanship and attention to detail. The figure is seen playing a small flute and features long hair. The Kachina is depicted as Kokopelli, He is found in all pueblos of the southwest. A flute player, baby maker, seducer and good luck for hunters Kachina. In ancient Indian legend, Kokopelli the flute player was the symbol of happiness and joy. He talked to the wind and the sky. His flute could be heard in the Spring breeze, bringing warmth after the winter cold. There are many stories of Kokopelli.
