Featured in this lot is this sterling liquid silver and turquoise necklace from a Navajo artist at Running Bear Trading Post. The necklace features a wonderfully and professionally crafted sterling silver construction to the liquid silver necklace chain with 20 strands and to the pendant with a twisted rope and highly tooled border. The center stone features a very large triangular cut cripple creek turquoise cabochon with light to bright blue coloration and good luster with a section of spiderwebbing mineral deposit. The necklace shows the Running Bear Trading post hallmark a 'RB inside a bear' and a 'sterling' stamp underneath the hallmark on the last link of the necklace chain. Running Bear Trading was started by Jerry Elkins in the mid 1970's and its their goal to keep Native American crafts alive while supporting local Native American handmade and had crafted products. The condition of this necklace is good with no obvious signs of damage and in good overall condition. The measurements of this necklace from clasp to clasp are 21 1/2" and the pendant measures 3 3/8" x 2 1/8" x 1/4". The collective weight of this necklace is 68g.
