Featured in this lot we have a collection of Navajo Native American sterling silver brooches and pins. The pin collection consists of 5 brooches all made of silver. The first pins show the image of a Navajo Yei figure and is marked "FJ" on the back. The second piece shows a symbol made of silver made in the shape of two crescents with a line interceding the centers. Next is a brooch in the shape of a cowboy boot. The fourth brooch is in the image of a horse with a turquoise eye. The fifth and final brooch shows a arrow with pendants in the images of a coyote, a cactus, and the moon. The collection is in good condition overall with a warm patina. Provenance: From the renowned Sundog Fine Art Bozeman, Montana collection and collected by Bruce VanLandingham. Bruce VanLandingham was a pillar in the American Indian collecting community and a respected expert. Along with being an avid collector Bruce also was the sole owner of Sundog Fine Art Gallery in Bozeman which was both part museum and gallery. The largest of the brooches measures 3 1/2" wide by 1 3/4 tall.
