Featured in this lot is this Navajo Sterling Silver Jet and Opal Inlay Ring. The ring features a wonderfully and professionally crafted sterling silver construction that shows a beautifully arranged inlay decoration with Jet cabochons separated by Opal channels. Opals are known for their "play of color," which is when the stone shifts from light colors to intense, fiery colors. This is caused by light reflecting off of tiny spheres of cristobalite within the opal. First mastered by the Zuni, creating inlay jewelry is also part of Navajo and Hopi silversmiths' artistry. The ring is unmarked. The condition of this stunning Navajo ring is good with no obvious signs of damage. Size 10.5, collective weight is 9g.
