Offered in this lot is a large Navajo native american sterling silver ring with No.8 Turquoise, signed by the artist Randall Tom. This ring has a large square cabochon of No.8 Turquoise in the center measuring 5/8" X 5/8".Number 8 turquoise is famous for its black, golden-red and brown spider web matrix set off with the unique bright powder blue turquoise background. The mine is now depleted and Number 8 turquoise is valuable. The cabochon is framed with twisted silver rope and a frame made of arches. The face measures 1 1/8" X 1 1/8". The band is thick and wide and splits into four parts where it attaches to the face of the ring. At each side of the band where it attaches to the face is a medallion of sunbursts set on-top of the band. The ring is a U.S. size 12 and marked inside the band sterling and R. Tom. The total weight of this ring is 21grams. Even with its large size this ring is very tasteful and can easily be worn by a man or woman.
