Featured in this lot is this Navajo sterling silver whirling log pin and concho collection. There are two items in this collection. The first is a sterling silver stamped and tooled face to the pin of a whirling log design and a single pin in the back and is marked 'sterling' on the backside of the pin. The second is a stamped and tooled sterling silver concho that shows a hand pressed design. The condition of this pin and concho is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of the pin is 7/8" x 7/8" x 1/8" and the concho measures 3/4" x 3/4" x 1/4". The collective weight of these pieces is 4.8g. Provenance: From the renowned Sundog Fine Art Bozeman, Montana collection and collected by Bruce VanLandingham. Bruce VanLandingham was a pillar in the American Indian collecting community and a respected expert. Along with being an avid collector, Bruce also was the sole owner of Sundog Fine Art Gallery in Bozeman, which was both part museum and gallery. Truly an outstanding example.
