Featured in this lot is this Navajo T & R Singer multistone barrel bead necklace. The necklace features a wonderfully and professionally crafted multistone construction that includes discoidal and sphere beads that include the following stones: Cripple Creek Turquoise, Red Mountain Turquoise, Carico Lake Turuqoise, Tiger Eye, Mojave Turquoise, Variety of Agate, and Jet. The necklace features two barrel beads constructed from sterling silver and gold that are bother marked as follows: T & R Singer. Tommy and Rose Singer were a prominent couple in the world of Navajo jewelry, known for their significant contributions to Native American silverwork. Tommy Singer (1940–2014) was a master silversmith and one of the most famous Navajo jewelry artists. He is widely credited with pioneering the use of chip inlay, a technique where crushed turquoise or coral is inlaid into silver or gold settings, creating a striking mosaic effect. Rose Singer, his wife, was also deeply involved in the creation and promotion of their jewelry. The condition Navajo multi stone necklace is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this necklace from clasp to clasp is 21 1/2". The collective weight of this necklace is 106.6g.
