Featured in this lot is this sterling silver and 14k gold overlay, multi stone necklace from Navajo artists Tommy and Rose Singer. This signed necklace features a string of orange spiny oyster, turquoise, tiger’s eye gemstones, as well as a few other stones. The necklace is tipped with marked sterling aglet tips. The orange spiny oyster beads are separated by discoidal turquoise and silver beads. The signed rectangular pieces carry a traditional Navajo design and are stamped "T&R Singer". Tommy Singer was a Navajo silversmith who specialized in chip-inlay jewelry. He died on May 31, 2014. After his death, his wife, Rose, continued to create jewelry using designs Singer created prior to his passing. Tommy and Rose did come up with a new hallmark before he passed, which is “T&R Singer”. Any item marked T&R Singer was made after Tommy’s passing. The condition of this necklace is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurement of this necklace from clasp to clasp is 21.5".
