Included in this lot is a No. 8 turquoise and sterling silver bracelet. The Number 8 turquoise mine was discovered by those seeking gold in circa 1925 and was first mined in 1929 in Eureka County, Nevada. The mine has been shut down and depleted since 1976, making the No. 8 turquoise very scarce. This bracelet displays 40 cabochons of No. 8 turquoise, all set into shadowbox designs with silver beads between each gemstone. The bracelet features a three band construction. The back of this bracelet is marked "No. 8". The interior circumference measures 5 1/2" and the face of the bracelet is 2" tall.
