Offered in this lot is a Northern Pacific Railway Company wall calendar from 1970. This is believed to be the last year these wall calendars were made. The art on this calendar shows a Northern Pacific train beside a lake in the high mountains with a buck and doe mule deer watching from the trees. Mayo Olmstead was hired by the Brown & Bigelow Calendar Company in 1953. The calendar has written on it "Last Northern Pacific Calendar" and July 9th, 10th, and 11th are marked "Butte Rodeo", along with a few other marked dates. There are some discoloration marks from clear tape. The calendar measures 26" X 21 1/2", with the art measuring 8 1/4" X 20".
