For your consideration is this Northern Plains beaded floppy head skull cracker war club circa mid-to-late 20th century. The piece shows a brain-tanned hide over wood handle and shows a floppy head wrapped in tanned hide with stone skull cracker at the center. The head and handle has glass trade seed bead beadwork in a banded design. The beads show colors of light blue, dark blue and reddish brown. Towards the top of the handle are eight brass cones filled with long, black horse hair strands. The piece shows good condition overall with slight wear present from its age and handling over the years, but no major signs of damage are noted. It measures 42" L x 2" W (head measures 3" L x 2" W x 1 1/2" D) and weighs 11 ounces.
