For your bidding pleasure in this lot is a collection of two Old African (1940's) folk-art of woven raffia from Zaire. The first piece of tribal art, of woven Raffia and cotton with shells, dates back to the 1930s. The larger panel measures 9" x 6 1/2" and is adorned with seashells. The smaller panel measures 4" x 3". Both panels hang from a 4" natural fiber rope ring. The total length when hanging is 23". The second item is a woven cushion cover. This cover has two different patterns, one on each side. The cushion cover measures 19 1/2" x 16", and is open at one end. These items of tribal folk-art decoration are in fair to poor condition.
