The lot features an excellent early 1900 Old Hickory hand crafted rocking chair made by the Indiana Willow Co. out of Martinsville, Indiana. The Indiana Willow Co. was formerly named the Old Hickory Furniture Co. and was ren-named and founded in the 1930’s. This chair shows the same design features and manufacture as the early Old Hickory chairs that it is modeled after, in fact this chair was probably made by the same individual and blue-print as the Old Hickory Rockers from the 1920’s. This chair features a fiber woven rattan seat and seat back and a beautiful hickory wood frame. There is a manufacturer's label on the bottom warning regarding the chair not being water resistant. The chair is in good condition for age (some wear on seat) and measures 33" tall by 24" wide by 32" deep.
