Offered in this lot is an Original Limited Edition Signed framed lithograph, "Old Trucks & Good Dogs" by Larry Chandler, #26/4750, 1998. The lithograph depicts a black sporting dog gazing intently whilst standing in the bed of an old green pickup truck parked along a lake shore, while small waves lap against the shore. Waterfowl are seen overhead and in the distance, first snow of Autumn is lightly falling with storm clouds overhead. The bed of the pickup has a duck decoy, fishing bobber and shotgun shell gracing the bed. Larry has been National Artist of the Year for Ducks Unlimited (twice), Quail Unlimited, Waterfowl USA and his art hangs in the Smithsonian Institution. He has done artwork for The Franklin Mint, Lennox Co., The Hamilton Collection, SeaBrook Wallpaper Company, Spillsbury Puzzle Company, Ravensburger Puzzle Company, Manuel Wood Workers and Weavers, Goodwin Weavers, Fine Art Creations and Marathon Apparel to name a few. Larry still paints a variety of subject matter, but his popular sporting dog portraits have brought him the acclaim that has earned him commissions in several fields of art.
This signed lithograph is in very good condition, the dog and pickup truck are stunning in their depictions, no marring noted.
