Offered in this lot is a Vintage Old West Guns and Gunfighters Book Collection (5), circa 1954 to 1993. The American Old West was defined by iconic firearms like the Colt Single Action Army and the Winchester model 1873, which were the preferred tools of legendary gunfighters such as Wild Bill Hickok, Wyatt Earp, and Billy the Kid. While Hollywood often portrays these men in honorable quick-draw duels, real-life encounters were frequently messy affairs involving ambushes, cover-seeking, and alcohol-fueled brawls. Guns in the Old West were more than just weapons; they were essential tools for survival, law enforcement, and crime. The lines between lawman and outlaw were often blurred, with many men serving on both sides of the law during their lives. Included are "Guns and the Gunfighters", 1982, by Guns and Ammo; First Edition of "Conquering the Frontiers" by James E. Serven, 1974; 1973 First Edition of "Color Treasury of Firearms" by Crescent Books; First Edition of "Pictorial History of the Wild West" by James D. Horan and Paul Sann, 1954; and lastly, the First Edition of "The Taming on the West, Age of the Gunfighter", by Joseph G. Rosa. All of the books are in good condition overall, smallest measures 8.5"W x 11.25"L x .875"D, largest is 10.375"W x 13.25"L x .875"D. Combined weight is 11lb, 6oz.
