Featured in this lot is this opulent tanzanite and diamond, 14k white gold necklace. The necklace shows a wonderful rectangular, 14k white gold plate pendant with a lattice border and a collective gold weight of 3.97 GM. The pendant shows a center stone of cushion cut pavilion step tanzanite with a collective weight of 1.52 carats and nice violet blue coloring, beautiful depth, pleochroism (an optical phenomenon in which a stone has different colors when observed at different angles), and good eye clean clarity. The Tanzanite is a very rare precious gemstone found only in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. The pendant is decorated with a total of 74 round cut brilliant diamonds around the border of the pendant and above and below the tanzanite stone; the diamonds have a collective weight of 0.36 carats. The Color Jewels, INC. hallmark is shown on the dangle connector piece with a 14k gold stamp to the left of the hallmark. The measurements of this necklace from clasp to clasp are 18" and the pendant measures 1 1/4" x 3/4".
