Featured in this lot is this opulent Tanzanite diamond and 14k white gold necklace with AIG paperwork. The necklace features an electronically tested 14k whtie gold cast and assembled pendant enhancer with chain and shows new condition and good workmanship the designer chain terminates in a lobster claw clasp and the piece features a bright polish finish with miligrain detailing '14k' on the back of the connector for the pendant. The center stone is a four prong set oval modified natural cut Tanzanite gemstone that measures 17.50 x 13.60 x 8.50mm and shows a 10% bulge factor that shows eye clean clarity and considered type I with medium dark very slightly grayish blue violet color and a good cut grade that transmits light with no distortion and shows a total weight of 15.12 carats. The center stone, pendant and connectors are profusely decorated with a total of 230 prong baguette and round brilliant cut diamonds that shows a clarity of SI-2 to I-1 and a color gradient of H - I and a total diamond weight of 4.19 carats. Tanzanite is a very rare precious gemstone that is only found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. It was originally discovered in 1967 by Tiffany & Company, who named the stone Tanzanite. This example is unique due to its exceptional pleochroism (an optical phenomenon in which a stone has different colors when observed at different angles).
