Featured in this lot is this oriental Japanese carved leather apothecary leather travelling case circa 19th century. The apothecary travel case is wonderfully and professionally crafted leather construction that shows carving and design in traditional Japanese format with hand colored figures in Japanese garments throughout the piece. The inside of the travel case houses eight total bottles with one of them showing some white residue or old powder. The condition of this apothecary medicine is well preserved with some wear to the outside of the case and shows some patina to the leather consistent with age but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this case is 3 5/8" x 4 5/8" x 2 1/2". The collective weight of this travel case is 5oz.
