For your consideration is an extremely rare Original 1938 RKO Radio Pictures, Inc. Signed License Agreement for the Broadway Theatre in Butte, Montana to feature 18 Walt Disney Animated Cartoons as released by RKO Radio Pictures. Also included is a Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs 1981 Disneyland Picture Disc. The Picture Disc is a 12", 33 1/3 rpm record recorded in 1981 part of the Disney Picture Disc series of albums and includes eight songs from the film plus the Overture and Finale. Identical recording as found on the 1963 and 1968 DQ-1201 album releases. Side one depicts the washing scene with Snow White looking on as the Dwarfs clean up around the tub; side two incorporates a collage of imagery from the Snow White story. Copyright markings from 1981 "© MCMLXXXI WALT DISNEY PRODUCTIONS 3101" U.S. Patent Office No. 4213927 RKO Radio Pictures, Inc., commonly called RKO Pictures or simply RKO, was an American film production and distribution company that was one of the "Big Five" major film studios of Hollywood's Golden Age. It also distributed many celebrated films by animation producer Walt Disney from 1937 to the mid 1950s. RKO has long been renowned for its cycle of musicals starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in the mid-to-late 1930s, actors Katherine Hepburn, Robert Mitchum, and Cary Grant had major successes at the studio. This license agreement for the "Eighteen Walt Disney Animated Cartoons" number of consecutive days, license fee per issue, total amount, and playing arrangement, run and clearance. License agreement is signed by, John Gavan, a representative of Broadway Amusement Co which operated the Broadway Theatre in Butte, Montana, and a salesman from RKO Radio Pictures, Inc, A. W. Baron. Signed July 8, 1938. This license agreement is the "exhibitor's copy" page 2. Page 1 is located on the reverse and consists of contract language in sixteen sections of contractual terms and obligations. This is an amazing piece of film industry memorabilia, ephemera that is both unique and rare. It is in extremely fine condition for its age, minimal age tanning noted, no foxing noted. Two slight tears noted at the bottom of the page. Measures 8.25"W x 14"L Scratches noted on both sides or Picture disc.
