Featured in this lot is this original Dau-Law-Taine Kiowa painting, c. 2021. Darwin Tsoodle Kiowa (Dau-Law-Taine) is a Native American artist who was born in Anadarko, Oklahoma and is known for his depictions of Native American Braves on horseback. The painting presents an image of a native Medicine Man in a buffalo headdress lifting his face to the sky to ask two buffalo spirits and the Thunderbird spirit's blessings as he prays, in the sun set, just outside the village he belongs to. The painting features the artist’s signature in the bottom right hand corner with the date underneath it. The condition of this painting is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this painting are 20" x 16".
