Included in this lot is an original Carl Tolpo, Pikes Peak summit, Colorado oil painting from 1969. Carl Tolpo was born in Ludington, Michigan in 1901. During his career, he established his reputation as a portrait, genre, and landscape painter, as well as a portrait and figure sculptor. As a painter, his works in fine oil portraiture particularly include state portraits and landscape oil paintings of the western USA, mostly the Yellowstone Park region. His works are on display in the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. This painting shows a colorful landscape of a purple and pink mountain range. The painting is signed in the paint on the bottom left, "Carl Tolpo. Aug 25, 1939. Pikes Peak Summit 6PM". This piece is in good condition and measures 20" by 16".
