He was a professional photographer, publisher, and entrepreneur from Minnesota, who played a major role in documenting through photographs the settlement and early history of the great Northwest. Frank Jay Haynes first photographed Yellowstone National Park in 1881 and created a family dynasty that would span eighty plus years. This photograph captured the natural beauty of Old Faithful Geyser in Yellowstone National Park mid eruption. The condition of this Silver Gelatin is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this lithograph are 19 3/4" x 16".
