This is a pair of original Louis Kley silver gilt bronze bud vases from circa 1890. Kley was a French artist that lived from 1833-1911. He is well known for his cherub or putti figures. Each piece shows a wonderfully formed bud vase with a floral motif and a cherub figure seated next to it. One figure is holding his head and a shotgun while the other sits cross legged and appears to have been holding an object now absent. Each piece features a solid marble base as well. The artist has signed each bronze "L. Kley". The Louis Kley bud vases are in good condition. They measure 2" x 3.75" and is 7" tall.
