Featured in this lot we have a original Native American profile painting signed by Pettit. The painting shows the image of a Native American man, from the top of the shoulders and up. The piece is done in an array of colors including; purples, blues, red, yellow, black, and white. The painting is signed in the bottom right reading "Pettit". The profiles style is reminiscent of the artist Edgar S. Paxson. The painting is framed in a oak wood frame with a tan border. The border shows the painted image of a teepee with smoke emitting out of the top in the bottom right hand side. The piece is in good condition overall.
