Included in this lot we have a original porcelain enamel Bell System public telephone sign originating from the early 20th century. This is a double sided flanged sign that would have been hung high on a wall above a pay phone. The sign features a dark blue background with a off white circle at the center. The circle shows a dark blue bell logo with white lettering reading "Bell System" and blue lettering in the perimeter of the circle reads "Public Telephone". The sign features porcelain enamel construction over a steel base with a bend in the sign for easy mounting. The sign shows good condition overall with some wear indicative of age. The sign measures 18" wide by 18" tall.
