Included in this lot is an original Robert Chee watercolor painting from 1959. Robert Chee was Diné painter. He had a short but very active career. He is noted for two-dimensional, strongly decorative work with bright colors. He adhered to all the characteristics of traditional Navajo painting. This painting portrays a Native American man on a horse trotting in the desert. The bottom right hand corner of the piece is marked "Robert Chee 59". The painting is placed in a large wooden frame. This piece is in great condition, showing no sign of damage. The frame measures 26 3/4" by 20 3/4".
