For your consideration is an original Sheryl Bodily oil on canvas painting of Native American Indians riding horses. Sheryl Bodily was born in Boise, Idaho in 1936 to a family of five children and was son to a farmer. He recalls moving six separate times as a child for farming work, countless farming chores and having the hobby of collecting arrowheads and artifacts in the Rocky Canyon near Meridian, Idaho. Later he was considered a Montanan being a resident of Columbia Falls, Montana. Bodily has won countless awards and Best of Show with his works being widely collectible. Bodily is a well known Montana artist known for his Western Wildlife and landscapes, as well as, his paintings of Native Americans. This painting depicts Indians riding horses pulling a travois across the plains with a mountain landscape on the skyline. At the center of the painting is a young girl riding on the travois. The piece shows wonderful art style and use of color. The painting is signed in the bottom right hand corner reading "Bodily".
