Presented in this lot are a pair of Original Signed Bronze Grizzly Bookend sculptures created by Dennis Harrington, 1996. Harrington is a Bozeman, Montana artist and owner of the Planet Bronze gallery. The piece is titled "Playmates" and shows the Grizzly Bears in a standing position on a rocky shoreline or outcropping, mounted on a solid stained hardwood base. The bookends are made to accommodate 7.5"H books between each bookend. Harrington is the artist who sculpted the life-size bronze Grizzly Bear on permanent display at the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport in Montana. It has been signed by the artist and is numbered 13/150. A Certificate of Authenticity accompanies the sculpture. The bear shows wonderful detail and is in excellent condition, uniform rich patina throughout. No marring exhibited. Bookends measurements are: base 4.75"W x 5"L; bronzes 8.5"H x 9.25"L x 4.75"W each, whole sculptures are 9.75"H each approximately.* The bookends are shown with books for examples sake only, books not included.
