For your consideration are Original Signed Paul Krapf Seascape Paintings, an Oil on Board and a Watercolour, circa Late Century. The sublime watercolour depicts a small crab fishing boat is slowly heading out for the day, the early morning overcast and foggy conditions add to the sereness with the stillness of the water as the boat's wake motors through slowly. The Oil on Board depicts a small gillnet bowpicker boat, nets draped over the starboard rail, coming back to the marina and a deckhand is reaching for a mooring line. In the background are faintly visible fishing boats tied up at the docks, the faint images of the Harbor buildings on the pier come into view in the early morning fog. Paul Krapf (1927-2019) was a wildlife and landscape artist from Gardiner, Montana at the southern end of the beautiful Paradise Valley north of majestic Yellowstone National Park. His house and studio were built along the Yellowstone River 11 miles north of the park. The inhabitants of Yellowstone National Park were his frequent subjects. He also produced coastal views, especially Oregon’s, as well as Western scenes and landscapes. Artist's handwritten signature are at the right bottom corner and left bottom corner respectively. The watercolour is in beautiful condition, mounted to matting. Visible art measures 11.5"W x 17"L, matting is 16"ZW x 20"L. The oil on board measures 20"W x 24"L. Combined weight is 1lb, 12oz.
