Featured in this lot is this original Stauffer Agricultural Chemicals sign circa 1950s. The sign is wonderfully and professionally crafted painted metal construction. The sign features a yellow field with black lettering with a symmetrical geometric patterns below the top lettering. The sign reads as follows: Stauffer - Since 1885 - Agricultural Chemicals. Stauffer Chemical Company was an American chemical company which manufactured herbicides and pesticides for various agricultural crops. It was acquired by Imperial Chemical Industries from Chesebrough-Pond's Inc. in 1987. In 1987, Stauffer's head office was in Westport, Connecticut. The condition of this advertisement signs is fair with a large spot of heavy oxidation to the face of the sign but otherwise shows fair overall condition. The measurements of this sign is 17 1/4" x 23 1/4".
