Offered in this lot is a Rare Original Theatre Lobby Movie Poster, "Bootleggers", 1974. This large poster would have been used in theatre lobbys to advertise this movie. This 40" x 60" poster is in colour. 40" x 60" posters are the rarest size of movie poster advertising, the cost to acquire one for your theater was as much as 20 times the amount as a standard movie poster. These 40" x 60" posters are printed in infinitely higher resolution than standard movie posters- by any measure, these are the ultimate vintage high quality, fine art print versions of any movie advertisement. Billed on its original posters as director Charles B. Pierce's BOOTLEGGERS, it was later re-released as Deadeye Dewey and the Arkansas Kid, and yet again as Charles B. Pierce’s THE BOOTLEGGER’S ANGEL. The 115-minute film was shot on location in the Ozark Mountains of northern Arkansas. Typical '70's drive-in movie fare notable for starring the underrated Paul Koslo and veteran character actor Slim Pickens with, soon to be starring in "Charlie's Angel's", Jaclyn Smith in a very early role. The movie was part of that era's genre of "hixploitation" movies that focused on illegal liquor (moonshine) and the characters that lived that lifestyle. Poster is identified at the bottom with a 1974 copyright from HOWCO International Pictures, "property of National Screen Service Corporation. Licensed for use only in connection with the exhibition of this picture at the theatre licensing this material. Licensee agrees not to trade, sell or give it away, or permit others to use it, nor shall licensee be entitled to any credit upon return of this material. This material must be returned immediately after use." This theatre lobby poster is in good condition overall, some slight fraying noted along poster edges, larger tear noted at center of bottom border, no other obvious marring noted. Measures 40"W x 60"L
