For your consideration is an original U.S. WWII Army Air Corps visor cap in summer khaki color with a leather bill. The cap is in good shape, with only minor staining to the inside leather sweatband. The leather brim and sweatband in very good condition. In the Army Air Corp, these Visor Caps were worn without the wire cap stiffener to accommodate headphones while on combat missions and were known as 50 mission or crush caps. These caps were also popular with ground army officers, including general officers. Detailed on the leather sweatband is "Biltmore Cap Trademark Reg." Made from premium materials, these United States Army caps feature Khaki wool twill tops with wool mohair cap bands. The visors are made from genuine leather, sweat bands, and gilt metal, U.S. Army cap insignia and "American Red Cross" black buttons on the visor strap. This piece does not indicate a size, but measures approximately 22 1/4" inside circumference.
