This is an original watercolor painting by Crow Native American Indian artist Leland Stewart. Stewart is a member of the Crow Nation, Whistling Water Clan and the High Hawk Society. He graduated from the Institute of the American Indian Arts in 1975. Stewart's artwork is featured in in Montana fine art galleries and beyond. Many of Stewart’s works can be found at the Sam Terakedis Fine Art & Jewelry Gallery. Some examples of his art have been priced at $6,200 for Two Sisters in the Bear Paws, $5,500 for Uncle Buffalo, and $6,000 for The Visitor. This painting shows a band of seven warriors riding painted horses. Each warrior holds a spear and has a painted war shield as well. The painting exhibits Stewart's unique style of bright, vivid colors and personal interpretation. The piece is signed in the lower right corner "Leland Stewart 2018". The watercolor is in very good condition. It measures 30" x 42".
