Included in this lot is a wooden 'Entering Alder', Montana sign. Alder, Montana is located in Madison County, Montana and was established in 1889. In 2018, the population of Alder was 92 people. Alder takes its name from Alder Creek, the site of the second major gold discovery in Montana. This sign is cream colored with black lettering. The sign shows some wear and scratches with a hole in the center on the top and bottom where it was hung. The sign measures 24" x 12" x 1/2".
