For your consideration are ten (10) license plates (five sets) from Wyoming circa 1938 to 1966. The first set shows a dark blue colour with yellow lettering, "1938 WYOMING 17 1456"; second set shows yellow colour with brown lettering, "1948 WYOMING 14 1642"; third set is white with red lettering, "12 1192 WYO TRUCK 49"; fourth set is black with yellow lettering, "55 WYOMING 9 4444"; and lastly, the fifth is green with white lettering, "9 1836 WYO 66". Featured on each plate is the Wyoming state logo image of a Bucking Horse and Rider. The image dates back to 1918, perhaps earlier. The BH&R was used as an insignia worn by members of the Wyoming National Guard in France and Germany during World War I. In 1936, Wyoming trademarked the image for the state's license plates. The license plates show good condition overall with wear present from their age and use over the years, but no signs of major damage is present. The license plates measure from 5.25"W x 14"L to 5.5."W x 14"L; one is 6"W x 12"L . They have a collective weight of 5lb and 2oz.
