Featured in this lot is this bronze sculpture titled "Stream Side Companion" by Ott Jones circa 1995; Ott Jones Created a life sized version of this bronze at the Bozeman/ Yellowstone International Airport in Bozeman, Montana. The scuplture features a wonderfully and professionally crafted bronze on wooden base construction that shows a fly fisherman casting into the stream with his trusty "Side Kick" Labrador holding a fish in his mouth. The bronze is marked as follows: Ott Jones - 1995 - 19/40. The plaque on the base reads as follows: "Stream Companions" - By Ott Jones. Ott Jones, a professional sculptor for 37 years, has created a diverse collection of wildlife and sporting sculpture. A member of Allied Artists of America, National Sculpture Society and Society of Animal Artists, Ott won the coveted Gold Medal of Honor in 2022 from Allied Artists for his otter monument, "River Rascals". He has participated in numerous juried shows and museum exhibitions including the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Brinton Museum, C.M. Russell Museum, Coors Western Art Sale, High Desert Museum, Mountain Oyster Club, National Museum of Wildlife Art, National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, National Sculpture Society, Red River Valley Museum, SEWE and Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art. Three of his most notable pieces are "Stream Side Companions", a fly fisherman and Labrador at Bozeman/Yellowstone International Airport, mountain man, "Jim Bridger" at Bozeman’s Chamber of Commerce and heron monument, "Queen of the Waterway" at Campbell County Cemetery and Sculpture Park in Gillette, WY. In the fall of 2024, Ott will unveil his monument "Henry Rono", former world class runner at his alma mater, Washington State University, in Pullman, Washington. The condition of this bronze sculpture is well preserved with some patina adorning the bronze artwork but otherwise shows a well preserved overall condition.
