Featured in this lot are two, original hand-tinted Fraternity photographs set in oval frames from the early 1900s. The first photograph shows a single man posing for the photo as he holds a sword in his right hand and wears a sash across his chest and body. A ribbon is buttoned to the left side of his chest. This photo has been hand tinted (colored) on the sash, sword and ribbon. He appears to be wearing Fraternal clothing rather than military attire. The second framed photo shows a similar scene, complete with the man from the first photo. This photo shows two men, wearing similar fraternal sashes and ribbons bot posing for the photo as they hold swords in their right hands in an upward position. Both wear suits with one wearing a tie and the other a bow-tie. The photos are set in oval, wood frames showing gold colored floral designs / motifs. No makers mark or photography mark is present. They show fair to good condition overall with wear present from their age and use over the years, but no major signs of damage is noted. The wood frames show wear from age and use but hold the photos tightly. No cracks in the glass present. The larger photo measures 19" L x 13 1/8" W, with the entire piece measuring 22 7/8" L x 17" W x 1 5/8" D. The smaller visible photo measures 18 7/8" L x 12 3/4" W, with the entire piece measuring 25 1/4" L x 18 7/8" W x 1 5/8" D. They have a collective weight of 8 pounds and 14 ounces.
