Featured in this lot are two Packard Motor Car Company books circa 1934 and 1940. The books in this lot are as follows: "The Gateway To Ownership: A Catalog of the New Packard Eight" and "Packard Data Book For 1941". The catalog book was published in 1934 and is spiral bound. The front shows a grey, gold and maroon color scheme and depicts a gate opening in the center of the cover with the Packard logo in the middle. The catalog gives a write up on the New Packard Eight on the first page and then goes on to list other models in the next pages. Some of the models included are: The Sedan, The Limousine, The Formal Sedan, The Club Sedan, The Coupe, The Coupe Roadster and more. The catalog shows two colored photos for each model listed, a full, outside car view and a view of the seating arrangement in the interior. The back of the book reads "Ask The Man Who Owns One" in maroon lettering. The second book in this lot is the "Packard Data Book for 1941". This data book gives the reader both descriptive and technical information covering the complete line of Packard cars for 1941 - One Ten Special, One Ten Deluxe, One Twenty, Super-8 One Sixty and the Custom Super-8 One Eighty. The data is not only descriptive material but mechanical data as well, written in a simple and easy way to understand. The data book is tabbed with different sections pertaining to different models. The book features numerous black and white photos and illustrations throughout. The two books show good condition overall with some wear from their age and use over the years, but no signs of obvious damage are noted. The catalog measures 6 3/8" L x 11" W x 1/4" D, the data book measures 7" L x 4 5/8" W x 5/8" D. The collective weight of the two books is 1 pound and 2 ounces.
