Included in this lot is a collection of Papago American Indian, hand woven baskets. There are eight baskets in this collection. The baskets display hand woven, natural fiber construction with a tight weave and excellent detail. The collection displays three different styles of basket designs with some fibers dyed red, green, purple, or brown. The baskets show a tight weave with open weave patterns across the top. These are simple baskets, but they show good design and construction. The baskets show good condition overall, with light wear. The largest piece measures 5 1/4" tall by 4 1/4" in diameter with the smallest piece measuring 1 3/4" tall by 2" in diameter.
