Featured in this lot is a pair of Papago Native American hand woven baskets. The first basket displays wood construction with a crenulated top. The piece shows a folded section forming a wide base across the bottom. The second basket shows hand woven mesquite construction with a zig zag pattern weave. The basket is designed as a flour sifting basket with numerous small holes across the bottom of the piece. The pair show good condition overall, with some light wear. The first measures 8 1/2" in diameter by 3 1/4" tall, with the second measuring 12 1/4" in diameter by 5" tall.
