For your consideration is this Papago Native American hand woven basket originating from the 1950's. The Papago Tohono O'odham (People of the Desert), are located in Arizona and are known for their weaving skill. This basket shows yucca and bear grass construction with a triangular pattern across the piece. The piece features a tight, close weave coil basket and lid with sturdy construction. The condition of this hand woven coil basket is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this hand woven coil basket are 6" x 8" x 8".
