Included in this lot is two Papago Native American Indian, hand woven coil wedding baskets. The Papago Tohono O'odham (People of the Desert) are located in Arizona and are known for their weaving skills. The basket displays coil designs. The basket shows green, red, and black patterns on the sides. The second basket displays a very tight weave with double layered weave of pine needle and a button weave in the center. The pieces show good condition, overall. The first piece measures 11" in diameter by 1 3/4" tall with the second basket measuring 7 3/4" diameter.
