Featured in this lot is this pattern 1895 Martini-Enfield socket bayonet in scabbard. The bayonet shows a majestic example of warfare history that shows a triangular socket bayonet blade is marked 'R - W - D - E - 46' on the base of the blade. The condition of this bayonet is good with some wear to the leather triangular sheath and a slight patina to the brass belt hook and a slight patina adorning the blade and shows a slight patina to the blade itself. The measurements of this bayonet in its sheath are 25 5/8" x 2 3/4" x 1 1/2" and the blade length is 21 3/4".
